Two Christmas ago, my mother gave to every woman of my family a small black book with all the family recipes. Today, I bring you one of my favorites, Charlotte. It is so easy to do. I think that from start to end takes about 30min. No more.
Charlotte
3 eggs
1/2 cup of water
4 tablespoons of Powder Chocolate
1 package of Lady Fingers
1 can of condensed milk
1 can of table cream
1 teaspoon of corn starch
1 cup of milk
Mix power chocolate and water in a small pan. Bring to boil for a few minutes. Dip each lady finger in the chocolate mix and accommodate in a glass tray. If you have chocolate left over, pour it in the tray with the lady fingers. In a small pan, mix 3 egg yokes (reserve the whites) with the condensed milk, corn starch and milk. While is cooking the mix steer it constantly with a wood spoon until it boils. Pour it on top of the lady fingers, spreading it evenly. Using the mixer, whip the egg whites. When it rises add the sugar. Mix for about 4 minutes. Using a spatula, beat slowly the table cream into the egg whites and sugar mix. Pour the mix on top of the lady fingers and cream layers. Spread it evenly. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
